We received a tip that construction will start soon for the long abandoned lot at 2171 FDB and 117th Street. Looking up the address on the DOB website, it now appears that one of the last parcels in South Harlem's condo corridor will indeed be no longer empty. Permits have been filed over the past months for a 10-story residential development that will have 13 units in all and ground floor commercial space. It is unclear if this will be a condo complex or just rental but based on the demand in the area, the former would make sense.
