INTRODUCING: THE MOUNT MORRIS PARK EXTENSION
The Mount Morris Park Historic District has now officially doubled in size! New York City's Landmark Preservation Commission has now approved the blocks west of Lenox Avenue between 118th and 123rd Street as part of one of uptowns most architecturally rich neighborhoods. There had been talks about the extension for some time but the influential Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association and CB10 have worked hard in the past 3 years to make it happen. More details on the announcement can be found on DNAinfo: LINK

This is absolutely amazing. What does this mean for the community. Nevertheless, I am glad they are preserving and also intrigued by the success
