REVIVE: CONSTRUCTION AT 102 WEST 129TH STREET

A sidewalk shed has been placed above 102 West 129th Street in the past month or so but now it looks like the old building on the corner of Lenox is actually removing the cornice at the roofline.  Lower Lenox below 125th Street has most of its architecture intact but the blocks further north are missing a lot of details such as the cornices.  Our humble opinion is that property owners and developers would benefit from restoring the look of a historic facade since this actually shows that the building is being maintained by someone who takes care of all of the details.  Aside from that point, the old architecture also definitely has a lot more character which is often missing in neighborhoods filled with new construction.
