Construction over at the long abandoned 721 St. Nicholas Avenue has been picking up over the past few months and now it looks like the end might be near. We walked by this corner of West 146th Street in the past couple of days and noticed that a rendering with updated details had been posted on the plywood out front. As can be seen in the sketch, the landmark exterior will be fully restored and the DOB paperwork online mentions that everything will be left in a 4-unit layout. As far as the finish date goes, June of this year should be the month that the long awaited restoration will finally wrap up.
Looks beautiful. Was there word that a restaurant would anchor this space? Did I read that on this blog?
