DWELL: CONTRACTS OUT AT 77 EAST 110TH

It really looks like the housing market has driven demand up even in East Harlem.  We noticed on Streeteasy that 77 East 110th Street by Park Avenue has quite a few contracts out and the new construction has achieved a milestone that has been fleeting in other parts of Harlem.  These market rate apartments are just over a block away from Central Park but actually have a direct view of public housing across the street.

Only downtown neighborhoods have been able to achieve higher end sales with this sort of vista but now the demand seems to be pushing home seekers to uptown's east side for better deals in Manhattan.  With that said, the train station is also a block away on Lexington Avenue in the other direction and apparently a 2-bedroom asking for almost $3 million is one of the major contracts that have just been signed: LINK
