DRINK: THE EAST HARLEM BOTTLING CO.
A tip came in from a Bespoke reader over on the east side that recommended checking out the brand new East Harlem Bottling Co. at the corner of East 107th and Lexingon Avenue. We headed over to El Barrio yesterday in the early evening hours and there were already quite a few people hanging out at the latest tavern to arrive in the neighborhood.
This 50-seater consist mostly of a long bar and an impressive row of banquet seating against the opposite wall but there are a few cafe tables out front. East Harlem Bottling Co. has over half a dozen beers on draft and just as many bottled offering on the menu along with some great pub grub. Cloth napkins, cut flowers and warm wood finishes add a nice ambiance to the space which also has great service. We will have a food review later on in the week but those who live in area should definitely check out the cool and friendly bar for a quick drink or a casual bite. This new place is wonderful!!! The variety of drinks, a food menu for everyone and the diversity of the crowd make it a real winner! The kind/welcoming owners have brought a great new energy to a growing/changing area in East Harlem.
