EAT: CREPE MASTER OPENS ON FIFTH AVENUE
Today is the opening day of Crepe Master located on Fifth Avenue just north of 125th Street and the tiny boutique shop definitely did not disappoint. We swung by the Japanese crepe eatery to check out the Harajuku style specialties on the menu which graciously appeals to those who like savory or sweet treats. Most have had the thin French crepe which visually is not much to look at but the Japanese present demure pancake as jumbo cone of everything you want to eat in a meal. An egg and ham offering caught our eye since we did not have breakfast and the huge portion tasted as good as it looked. There are also dessert items like the classic Crepe Suzette that are spectacular especially with the addition of ice cream on top so we made a note to come back again this weekend.
Harajuku crepes are really street style food so the cone shape makes it easy for those on the go but Crepe Master also has about 7 stool seats with a narrow counter. Coffee or smoothies are included on the menu and the environment has a bit of charm with some rustic detailing to warm things up.
