A designer millinery in Harlem. Rod Keenan started downtown in the early 90's, selling to accounts such as Barney's in New York and Harvey Nichol's in London and having his designs worn by such male fashion icons as Brad Pitt. These days, Rod is based out of "the castle," which is his home and design studio on West 121st Street. What is amazing about Mr. Keenan's work is that it is very much traditional -- hand-made hats in formal shapes such as boaters, pork pies or bowlers -- but updated with graphic textiles, trims or colors.
