☞ WALK: The Art Wall Zigzag on Lenox Avenue

Lenox Zigzag: A walking Art Tour in Harlem

Walk the new three-part self-guided Art Wall Project tour in the Mount Morris Park Historic District called the Zigzag. The name refers to the zigzag pattern of the boutiques, restaurants, and stores that will showcase local artist and have the pieces up for sale. The first installation is along Lenox Avenue (from 116th to 125th Streets) and offers framed limited editions of prints and photos priced under $50. Lenox Zigzag, as part of the Art Wall Project, is a neighborhood collaboration curated by the Casa Frela Gallery. We had lunch at Il Caffe Latte and noticed local artist Lynn Lieberman's watercolor paintings of Harlem up on the walls (first and last photos). In addition to Lenox Zigzag, there will be similar installations on neighboring Frederick Douglass and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevards.

List of Locations on Lenox Avenue:

Native Cafe
N Harlem Boutique
Il Caffe Latte
Spinner's
Tonnie's Minnis Cupcake Shop
Katrina Parris Flowers
Mr. Yim's Cleaners
Mike's News Stand

The nearest subway to these locations are the 2,3 at 116th and 125th Street. Take a stroll down Lenox, enjoy the shops, check out the art and make a purchase to help support local talent.
