☞ DWELL: 22 West 120th Street in Contract

The finished townhouse at 22 West 120th Street on the south side of Marcus Garvey Park (aka Mt. Morris Park) just recently went into contract a couple of weeks ago. The uber modern townhouse had high tech finishes, rampant animal art roaming around the 3,037 square foot interior and has been on the market well over a year. The red brick building originally was priced at $3.4 million back in October 2008 but ended up dropping to $2.375 the following year. A couple of more price chops by December 2009 and the asking price was finally reduced to $1.9 million. The house is right in the Mount Morris Park Historic District so the exterior has to really be period appropriate but the interior is up to the owner's particular taste. It will be interesting to see the selling price once the public record comes out. The nearest subway to this location is the 2,3 at 116th Street and 125th Street. House photo by Ulysses
