☞ EAT: New Dinosaur BBQ Set for September

We have been obsessively following the construction phases of the new Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in West Harlem for months until there was not much to cover. As readers might remember, the wildly popular eatery at West 131st Street and 12th Avenue had to move since the building the restaurant currently occupies will be demolished for the new Columbia Manhattanville campus. The new location is in a warehouse just a couple of blocks south at 125th Street and that space has been ready for the past couple of months: LINK. What was beyond the restaurant's control was that the Manhattanville campus infrastructure work also started at the beginning of summer and some major sewage construction is happening in front of the new space. Needless to say, it's not quite the best view for outdoor dining.

One of the staff members at the current Dinosaur space had informed us that September will be the month of the big move and a local Syracuse newspaper has also pointed this out: LINK. The article also talks about how biker John Stage started the upstate business back in 1983, and the rib joint's future expansion as a brand with the help of new backer George Soros (who is worth over $14 billion). Check out our past posts on all things Dinosaur BBQ: LINK. The above photo is that of Dinosaur's new 125th Street space.
