☞ INTRODUCING: Doctor's Office at 111 CPN

The big corner retail store at 111 Central Park North is still empty but it looks like a doctor's office has moved into one of the smaller ground floor spaces.  During the height of the market, the building at the corner of Lenox Avenue and Central Park's north border reportedly garnered the priciest condo sale in Harlem but better retail tenants on the ground floor have been elusive.  A Subway chain moved into the Lenox facing storefronts over a year ago and now things look to be improving a little with some sort of medical weight loss specialist opening shop by the main entrance at the west end of the building.  There's already a website up for the new medical office which even includes a snapshop of the facility's main entrance that is located right behind the sculpture out front: LINK

  1. I don't know, I feel that for a building that is supposed to be in a prime location, "Doctor Diego's Clinic" is another disappointment.

  2. I thin the MD's office if fine, it's the sign that's a bit funky. I wonder how the rent in this building compares to others in Harlem.

  3. If an Au Bon Pain or something similar opened here they would be very successful as this is the northern entrance to Central Park. The foot traffic in the summer would be enough to compensate for the slower winter months although there are lots of skaters and hockey players getting off the 2/3 train right there who would probably stop in for a snack. Who promotes the commercial real estate for that building? Are they being creative enough?

  4. as a Doctor’s office that sign makes it look a bit suspect. Although I do draw the line at calling it ‘Dr. Diego’s Weight Loss Clinic’. Bit racist-sounding there, Chris old mate.

  7. Interesting/sad how some are so quick to falsely point out what is "racist" without looking at all of the information. Blithely throwing around labels is dangerous and counter-productive to civil discourse. Let's not be so quick to judge and condemn others.

  8. Apology accepted Sanou's Mum. Still a little stunned to see a weight loss clinic going in at this location. Didn't even know such things existed!
