☞ EAT: Update on the Settepani Pizzeria
Last week's Community Board 10 meeting also reviewed the liquor license application for Settepani's new pizzeria at 170 Lenox (lower photo) and a DNAinfo article published recently has confirmed everything is a go: LINK. The storefront renovations at the corner of 119th Street has been going on since last November and readers have been providing tips on the incoming brick oven pizzeria: LINK. So the news now is that Settepani Brick Oven will be the branch that focuses on a family-oriented environment as opposed to the elegant but formal Settepani Restaurant across the street. The liquor license was also approved so there is some progress being made at this point.

Great to see Settepani pizza moving ahead, Settepani is one of the true pioneers in the new Harlem, their 10th anniversary must be coming up.
ReplyDeleteThis stretch of lower Lenox is very slowly filling in with restaurants. The space on the NE corner from Settepani would make a great restaurant, eventually it will be occupied with a paying commercial tenant.
ReplyDeleteThough from the sounds of things they are hurting for business. Maybe they do need my child toting business after all. GET A HIGH CHAIR!!!
ReplyDeletePassed by Settepani this evening around eight and was happy to see several tables of customers dining inside and five patrons having coffee in the sidewalk cafe.
ReplyDeleteI think they have been doing better in the last couple of weeks. The winter seemed hard and long for them. Their space at 170 Lenox will be gorgeous and I hope they attract more business. The other space at 170 Lenox, the former N-boutique, the two spaces next to Native and the one north of the current Settepani will hopefull fill up this or next year too. Can't wait to see this strip bloom!
