☞ EAT: Just Average Grade at the Red Rooster
Gothamist has the latest news on how Harlem's hot Red Rooster has now apparently received an average C-grade by the Department of Health but has applied for re-inspection: LINK. Other famous restaurants that have been in a similar situation include Le Bernadin, Telepan and Aureole but all ended up with A-grades at the end of the day. The article reports that high profile restaurants like the Red Rooster usually have return customers regardless of the grading system but the many smaller businesses out there are usually the ones that lose out at the end of the day if they are graded as inferior.
