☞ INTRODUCING: Fresh Direct in Harlem

Fresh Direct grocery deliveries seem to be popular uptown these days since the familiar trucks are often a common site on many blocks.  New Yorkers want everything close and convenient to their homes so if a grocery store is more than 5  blocks away than most would rather have a delivery set up.  We often see the trucks around the Mount Morris Park Historic District as the above photo shows but some new developments like Embelesar118 in East Harlem have a special Fresh Direct refrigerated delivery room as part of the building's amenities. Does anyone actually know how far north deliveries go up to for this grocery service?

  1. I don't know how far North they go but I can say I've been using them at least once a week for a few years. It's great for the heavy bulky things & when there are a few people in your family - it's a wonderful convenience.

  3. I would like them a lot more if their trucks weren't constantly blocking bike lanes and/or left idling on residential streets well past the 10-minute idling time limit.

  4. about 3 years ago I placed a few fresh direct orders and they delivered to my place at 140th & Lenox. I prefer shopping in person rather than online so I haven't used them since. My sister lived in Lenox Terrace and used Fresh Direct frequently.

  7. I live in East Harlem, and I am a vegetarian, so the local grocery stores do not have everything I need. Fresh Direct is a great resource to stock up on the things I can not easily get in my neighborhood. I usually get a delivery about once a month. they have always been on time, and I have never been disappointed with anything i purchased from them!
