☞ INTRODUCING: The New Chokolat Cafe
Chokolat opened a few years back at Broadway and 122nd Street but the patisserie appears now to be debuting a bigger branch just 3 blocks north. Walking just south of 125th Street on Broadway last week, we noticed that a new storefront had been revealed and that the space is much bigger than the original shop which only had a couple of small tables: LINK. This corner is right by the elevated train station on 125th Street and is on the cusp of the Manhattanville Columbia campus construction site so it will be interesting to see how it fares in the future. We have tried the chocolate croissants at the original branch and they are definitely worth the walk over. Apparently the cafe will be open today.

This was a smart move. Although it may not look like much of change distance wise, location wise it is much more appealing in terms of proximity to the train station and other neighboring businesses. Busy begets busy.
ReplyDeleteStopped by on Sunday and it was busy. Not crowded, but it was early.
