☞ READ: Project Proceeds Without Ringgold

The Times reports more on the reason why Faith Ringgold will no longer be associated with a museum and affordable housing development up on West 155th Street. This $70 million project originally had the notable Harlem artist's name attached to the children's museum planned for the lower level but a concern that the space would not authentically showcase art has caused Ms. Ringgold to withdraw her support.  An estimate finish date for the development that will include 124 units of affordable housing was originally set at 2012 a couple of years back but now it appears that the actual construction has not started yet but will do so in the upcoming weeks.
