☞ BESPOKE: Harlem Haberdashery on Lenox

The plywood art outside of 245 Lenox Avenue drew a lot of attention a couple of weeks back and now it appears that a menswear shop called Harlem Haberdashery will be opening up at the ground floor space.  An adjacent brownstone at number 243 Lenox is still going under renovations so the decorative plywood with a historic street scene painted on it provides a more aesthetically pleasing backdrop to the store.  Everything appears to be coming along but we have not heard of an opening date yet for the store by West 122nd Street in the Mount Morris Park Historic District.

  3. I spoke to a guy there and he said they are shooting for a May 1 opening. The temporary mural on wood is a good idea to draw attention, seeing as otherwise the boutique would be very easy to miss. I wish them well & will stop by once they open.
