☞ REVIVE: Demolition at Children's Museum Site
The plans for the former Ringgold Children's Museum had a setback in the past months when its namesake decided to withdraw her moniker from the project but new development appears to be now moving forward at 155th Street. This corner of St. Nicholas Place had a distinct looking parking garage (top photo) on site but the new $70 million museum and housing development appeared to take longer in starting up since not much was happening until now. We walked by the block in the past month and noticed that the old building has now been fully demolished so progress is finally at hand. An original timeline suggested everything will be complete by 2012 but because of delays, folks should expect a later date. Check out the modernist, stacked cube design of this new building in our past post: LINK
