☞ DWELL 68 Edgecombe Avenue Townhouse
OPEN HOUSE: Sunday, June 10th, 1:00PM-2:00PM. A townhouse formerly used as a church building at 68 Edgecombe Avenue and 138th Street in Central Harlem is now up for sale for the asking of $1.2 million. This rare corner lot has its own side entrance garage, is located less than a block away from St. Nicholas Park, comes in at 20-foot-wide and can be found right around the corner from the subway station. This immediate area is one of the more charming intact brownstone nabes of Harlem and the house apparently has quite a bit of original detail in it. With that said, the infrastructure will probably need an upgrade and there's also the process of converting a church into a single or multi-family home for this particular property. I went to the open house last Thursday and it was packed...but the condition of the house is shocking. Massive two- and three-foot wide holes in the ceilings on each floor from rain damage. Whoever took these broker photos needs a raise right now b/c they have skills! You can literally see through to the beams, but you'd never know from those great photos. But boy, what I would do with a garage and all those windows!
