☞ EAT: Harlem Food Bar Debuts Outdoor Seating

The new Harlem Food Bar on West 114th and FDB/8th Avenue debuted their outdoor cafe area on Friday night.  We walked by the popular eatery in South Harlem this past weekend and noticed the guys from Harlem Flo setting up the planters out front alongside the new teak tables. Outdoor cafe seating has been very popular for Harlem restaurants in the past couple of years and this new addition immediately attracted diners by early evening. HFB is still only open for dinner service starting at 5:00PM but will have a brunch menu coming soon.  Read more about Harlem Food Bar in our past post: LINK

  1. Was extremely impressed by the excellent service at Harlem Food Bar. Stopped for a drink at the bar, menu seems decently-priced. Was a little concerned about Frederick next door being absolutely empty.

  2. Michael, I have noticed the same thing with Frederick. Good luck to them, but I miss the warm, welcoming vibe of Society. Bier is quality place, so hopefully they will get the right balance with this place.

  3. I too went to HFB recently and my review sits below all scores out of 10.

    Food: 7.5

    Service: 8

    Price: 8.5

    Ambiance: 8.5

This is the best restaurant I have been to in our neighbourhood, it gets the mix totally correct, balancing good food with good service at a great price.

I highly recommend HFB and I hope they continue to improve and grow.
