Readers have been wondering about what was going on with the construction that was happening over at 23 West 116th Street. It was announced over a year ago that the parcel of land on the north side of West 116th Street between 5th Avenue and Lenox would eventually have a new residential building built on it. The developers of the Kalahari condos across the street plan on building a 12-story market rate building facing the 116th Street side of the block while a 9-story affordable rate building will rise on the 117th Street side.
