☞ EAT: Harlem Shake to Debut on Lower Lenox

We received tips that the old South Beach cafe space just below 124th and Lenox will have a new better burger establishment arriving but were not convinced until we saw a public noticed up on the facade this week.  A couple of workers were out in front of 277 Lenox Avenue this morning and posted announcements have it that Harlem Shake will be arriving in the Mount Morris Park Historic District neighborhood.  They apparently will be serving beer or wine based on the request and we expect this to be sort of a better Shake Shack for the neighborhood. Timing is good for this venture since Whole Foods will be opening right across the street in the future. Click on lower image to enlarge

  1. Great news and great location so close to 125th street. Glad to see Lower Lenox getting some love with Whole Foods, Barawine, Blvd Bistro, etc.! Now we just need somebody to find a way to tastefully upgrade and still preserve Lenox Lounge.

  2. So great to have a burger and shake place open. A place like this would be perfect for that vacant place right on the west harlem piers!

  3. Wow--this is good news and a great use of the space. I could use a hormone-free burger right now!

  4. GG, agreed, great to see the upper Lenox restaurant row now extending south below 125th, this will be a good addition to the neighborhood. Looking to the future I hope to see every block from the original pioneer Settepani on 120th all the way to 125th street with some dining establishments, Lenox will be quite a sight with its magnificent architecture, broad sidewalks and alfresco dining.
