We walked by St. Thomas Church at St. Nicholas and 118th Street yesterday to see if all was okay with the unofficial landmark that will be restored in the upcoming year. A lot of construction scaffolding suffered during the storm but it appears all the netting is pretty much intact. The sidewalk shed is no longer at the front of this location and we do not remember it being removed previously. This is probably the most exposed the church has been in the past few years since the base can now be seen. For more on what is to become of the old Catholic church, check out our past post:
