Floridita's new space over at 12th Avenue and 125th Street looks like it is coming along nicely we were able to snap a few photos of the interior. The old West Harlem standby that's been in the neighborhood for decades has been displaced for the last couple of years since Columbia University plans to demolish the old storefront to make way for the new Manhattanville Campus. It's still a drop ceiling, fluorescent light sort of place but the interior has brand new floors and white marble countertop bars. This Cuban and Dominican eatery should be opening relatively soon based on the progress at hand.
