☞ READ: 125th Street Progress in the Times

The New York Times reports this week on the retail boom that has brought major construction back to Harlem's 125th Street.  Uptown's main commercial hub started procuring major financing for new construction in the past year and a few major buildings are currently rising.  Blink Fitness, Joe's Crab Shack, Red Lobster, DSW and even Whole Foods will soon make their debut once all of the construction finishes up.

A new hotel will also be developed above a restored Victoria Theatre and there will be a beer manufacturer over on the Manhattanville side of West 125th Street.  Most folks uptown already know about these upcoming changes but it becomes official to the world when the Times finally reports on it.  Read more in the New York Times: LINK
