☞ SHOP: 241 Lenox Avenue Storefront

Number 241 Lenox Avenue might be one of our favorite buildings in Harlem especially since it was renovated over the past couple of years and has a distinct corner storefront. Boulevard Bistro just opened across the street at the opposite corner of 121st and they both share a gated area out front for al fresco dining. This part of Lenox in the Mount Morris Park Historic District already has 2 cafes, a cupcake shop, a busy burger joint, an Italian eatery, a forthcoming yogurt shop and a soon to open wine bar.  What should arrive now at 241 Lenox since a lot of stuff has already been covered?

  3. Please dear God no Starbucks. Are you seriously too lazy to walk to 125? Move to Orlando or Muncie or Topeka or anyplace else and enjoy your Starbucks experience.

Bakery sounds good--though Boulevard Bistro has insanely delicious bakery items...

  4. No more coffee shops or bakeries please - we have Il Cafe Latte, Boulevard Bistro, Toni's Minis. What about a good pub? Corner Social is always packed. Need to bring some night spots below 125th!

  5. Thai or a noodle shop a-la Jin Ramen would be great!

  6. Every other neighborhood can have a Starbucks within easy walking distance.. Why should people who live on Lower Lenox be forced to travel to the one on 125th street with all of that congestion or all the way over to FDB to enjoy Starbucks? Instead of 3 banks on the same block on 117th street and Lenox which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, a Starbucks would do very well with the close proximity to the train and all of the new condos and renovated brownstones.

We don't need any more bakeries... What we need is a more diverse selection of food.. Thai, Indian or a noodle shop would be perfect since there is no Thai restaurant or noodle shop anywhere near here and only 1 Indian place opening up on FDB..

  7. A Thai, Indian or noodle shop would be fantastic. I also like the idea of a cozy neighborhood pub or sports bar.

  8. sad that anyone would pine for a corporate coffee chain like Starbucks to move into the neighborhood. i mean really?

  9. Uh, Hello! We need some bagels on Lenox and in central Harlem. Absolute Bagels II would be brilliant!

  10. Unfortunately a pub/sports bar is out of play. It's impossible to get a full liquor license on that corner as with much of lower Lenox.

  11. I agree with Larvik. We should get a cool coffee chain like Lenox coffee. Do we really need another sbux in the world?
