READ: NO BACKERS FOR LENOX LOUNGE RELOCATION
Back in December 2013 the previous business owner of Lenox Lounge dismantled the iconic jazz spot because of a lease dispute and now the New York Post has an update. It turns out backers are scarce and the lease for the yet-to-be-developed new location on Lenox by 127th Street might be terminated if one does not appear soon. In the meantime, the new lease holder of the old space just below 125th Street (who originally had plans to keep everything intact) is planning to open a new club by this fall if all works out.
