REVIVE: NEW BRICK AT THE CORN EXCHANGE
Laying brick is much easier during warm weather and the reconstruction of the landmark Corn Exchange Building at 125th and Park is luckily at the that phase. We walked by this corner of East Harlem at the end of last week and workers cold be seen on sight creating the new facade. Since everything has to match perfectly with the original base, the color of the brick and the mortar used is indistinguishable from old to new. Hopefully this all finishes in the next 6 weeks before it really gets cold and maybe by then the dramatic mansard roof will be installed. Check out the final rendering in our past post: LINK
