A couple of neighbors on the block located between Lenox and 7th Avenue at West 132nd Street have been wondering about the construction that just started up on the empty lot at Number 142. Based on the permits posted on the DOB site, it appears that a new 4-story building will arise on the land that has been vacant for at least a decade and the new construction will be a 2-family situation. This particular brownstone block in Central Harlem does not have landmark designation so the design of the building could go in many different directions when all is finished up. Renderings have been placed in front of most of the new construction sites recently so we hope to find one posted soon.
