EAT: NEW MENU AT HOGSHEAD TAVERN
Hogshead Tavern by 142nd and Hamilton Place has been quiet around dinner hour recently but that has just changed as of this week. The new Hamilton Heights gastro pub has been fine tuning the menu of bar bites and finally have come up with a few great updates. We dropped by last night and discovered that an early dinner crowd had gathered even though it was only just after 5:00PM. First off on the menu were the short rib tacos which came out perfectly tender, charred at the tips and accented with fresh cut slaw along with the requisite cilantro. Definitely the best new bite we have tried this week. Second up was the cheesy baked kale dip which will make you forget about that artichoke version you tried downtown. The kale adds a brightness to this gooey treat which is rich enough to share for two. A side of craft beer on draft added on will make one's bill in the mid $20 range and thus is a pocket friendly night out. More on Hogshead can be found in our past post: LINK
