INTRODUCING: HOG'S HEAD TAVERN DEBUTS TONIGHT
Hog's Head Tavern has been under construction for most of the year and will now debut tonight at 5:00 PM in Hamilton Heights! Sketches were revealed just this past April for the former dollar store at 129 Hamilton Place just north of 142nd Street and the final designs are even more breathtaking. We talked to the owners yesterday after a Bespoke tip mentioned that the storefront was exposed and discovered that 20 craft brews will be on tap along with an extensive menu of specialty cocktails. Dinner and brunch service will arrive soon after but right now it's just drinks until 2:00AM at night.
Design enthusiasts will note that the intricate tile work in black, white with green accents is something that has not been seen uptown as of yet and that the factory windows out front are equally as spectacular. There have been some impressive debuts uptown for 2014 but Hog's Head has definitely set a new standard. Signage, storefront, interior and concept are all on point here which is not an easy task apparently for a lot of businesses. This new space outshines much of what is opening downtown these days and could easily hold its own on the trendiest corner in Brooklyn. Now that's a strong statement!

And it looks great on the block. It took a leap of imagination to see past the dingy dollar store to this. I'm delighted and can't want to frequent it.

ReplyDeleteWell, my visit to NYC just got even better, thanks to the efforts and imagination of those who put this one on the map. Can't wait to try out the brews and just enjoy mingling. We stay at daughter's place one block away! Awesome! Good luck to its owners for much success.
