SEE: INSIDE THE HOUSE OF RONDINONE
Those curious about the interior of the recently renovated former Mount Moriah church at Fifth Avenue by 126th Street will be happy to see that the notable owner now has a spread in W magazine which shows the new living space. Famous contemporary artists Ugo Rondinone was living in the West Village a few years back and just happened to walk by the foreclosed church in Central Harlem. About 18 other interested parties were working with brokers on seeing the site and Mr. Rondinone immediately put in a bid for $2.775 million for the 15,500-square-foot space after calling a number that was posted on the facade. The deal closed in less than a month and the building has been under scaffolding until recently. There seems to be a lot of architecturally preserved original details but the renovations is also modern at the same time. More photos can be found on the W site: LINK
