We noticed a big difference at the 5 & Diamond storefront by 112th Street on FDB the other day while walking by.  One of South Harlem's first boutique eatery opened almost 5 years ago and went with classic hanging signage but now has a more experimental look to it.  Mural artwork and graffiti are becoming more popular in the city once more and the restaurant has now chosen to have a spray painted version of its name out front versus the more traditional variations.  The final look is a bit jarring but the juxtaposition between the elegance of the spot and the fresh artwork is also very old school New York City.

  1. Did they also loose the gold stencil. I am interested to see how it "Would Have" looked w it's new spray painted sign. Interesting approach nevertheless.
