INTRODUCING: GRAFFITI SIGNAGE AT 5 & DIAMOND
We noticed a big difference at the 5 & Diamond storefront by 112th Street on FDB the other day while walking by. One of South Harlem's first boutique eatery opened almost 5 years ago and went with classic hanging signage but now has a more experimental look to it. Mural artwork and graffiti are becoming more popular in the city once more and the restaurant has now chosen to have a spray painted version of its name out front versus the more traditional variations. The final look is a bit jarring but the juxtaposition between the elegance of the spot and the fresh artwork is also very old school New York City.

Did they also loose the gold stencil. I am interested to see how it "Would Have" looked w it's new spray painted sign. Interesting approach nevertheless.
