The restored facade of St. Thomas at 118th and St. Nicholas looks spectacular these days but what about the planned condos? It was announced last year that a
10-story condo building had been approved for the site and would be incorporated into the parcels of land adjacent to the historic house of worship which would eventually be used as community space. Affordable housing had been set aside for 20 percent of the 147 apartments arriving to the location but not much really happened in the past year. Does anyone have details on the status of this development?
This is a shame as if I'm not mistaken, this building will destroy a community garden.
