BESPOKE: WEDDINGS AT MORRIS-JUMEL MANSION

We received an email from someone who wanted advice on where to host a Harlem wedding and the Morris Jumel-Mansion came to mind.  Duke Ellington called Manhattan's oldest house The Jewel of the crown of Sugar Hill which is pretty accurate.  The historic estate built in 1765 is situated on a hilltop surrounded by brownstones with a charming formal garden out back and is definitely one of the more romantic spots to be found uptown.  This country in the city aesthetic is hard to find and is more convenient than booking a spot upstate or the Hampton.  Even a few LGBT ceremonies have been performed in the past year and the official MJM site now has more details for those planning wedding events: LINK
