Billie's Black on 119th Street between FDB and St. Nicholas Avenue was one of the first updated soul food spots to open in Harlem in the past decade but now appears to have close. We noticed a few more permits along with posted signs up on the windows this past weekend and the good news is that the owners are just changing the format of the South Harlem eatery.
A new farm-to-table restaurant called B2 is apparently opening up by the end of summer and apparently there will be a big makeover within. Artwork on the place holder website are a mash of photoshopped images but appears to be intimating a more polished presentation:
