There has been a bit of activity over at the former Island Salad storefront on 125th Street by Madison Avenue and we were able to get the inside story on what is to come in the near future. Those familiar with
Serengeti Teas on FDB will be happy to hear that the owner will be opening up a second business but the focus here will now be on food.
Everything is still under construction but the new eatery will have quite a bit of laser cut wood paneling along with an outdoor space in the back with warm finishes. All of the craftsmen are on site customizing the individual design elements and the uptowner should expect a unique space with a contemporary take on regional African cuisine usually found only in the country side of the continent. Serengeti Teas already has a reputation for quality and so we expect that this new venture will bring something quite distinct to the 125th Street corridor when it opens in the next couple of months.
