CONDOMINIUM: 11 WEST 126TH STREET STALLED

Harlem Bespoke:  After writing our first Green Harlem post on passive housing design, we decided to walk over to 11 West 126th Street by Fifth Avenue to see how the first passive condo in Manhattan was coming along. The 6-unit building broke ground in 2016 and was slated to be finished by 2017 but somehow appears to be at a standstill.  Windows were installed about a year ago and nothing much else has been going on since then from what we can gather after taking the above photo today.  Hard finishes and furnishings are still missing inside and outside so construction delays might halt this ambitious development indefinitely.  Read more about passive housing and the green movement uptown in our past post; LINK
