Harlem Bespoke: One of the other pizza trends to be happening in the city is the pepperoni cup style pizza which uses smaller scale slices that curl up into a cup.
Eater NY mentioned that this pepperoni cup is popular in Buffalo and parts of the midwest but only recently has been taking over as the hip new slice to try out in town. We stopped by Lucille's Pizza next door to
Lucille's at Macombs Place at the corner of 150th Street yesterday to grab a slice and discovered that roni cups have arrived in Harlem. Not only are the edges of the pepperoni a little more crisp, hungry diners will also discover more covering the pizza than one usually finds on a regular portion.
We actually could not help but pick off a few to taste before taking the above photo because there was so much on top. With all that said, pizza snobs should take note and make way to this charming spot in Central Harlem. More on the arrival of Lucille's can be found in our past post:
