CLOSINGS: SERENGETI TEAS SHUTTERED ON 125TH

Harlem Bespoke:  Some may be wondering what is going on with Serengeti Teas and Spices at 125th Street by Madison Avenue since things have been pretty quiet out front since this summertime. The beloved local tea shop moved from Frederick Douglass Boulevard to this east side location back in 2018 but it looks like the pandemic might have taken its toll.
Brown paper had been posted up over the window for months now and the signage has been removed from the facade.  Our initial thought was that at a renovation was at hand but things apparently are slowly being taken apart.  We took a peep inside this week and the interior is now all white walls and has been gutted of the former shop elements.  Anything could still happen at this point in time but there has not been an announcement yet for the future of this local small business.  More on Serengeti can be found in our past post: LINK
