DWELL: 12 MOUNT MORRIS PARK WEST OFF MARKET
Harlem Bespoke: Number 12 Mount Morris Park West was the most expensive townhouse on the uptown market just over a decade ago and returned to market in May for almost the same asking price set at $8.2 million but was reduced to $7.75 million in July. The latest news now is that the brownstone was pulled from the market by the end of October.
This nearly 25 foot wide building is one of the largest for sales figure currently found in Harlem and has 10 bedrooms in an apparent 2-family layout. There's also a ton of original details still intact and high end renovations in the kitchen areas. Those familiar with the neighborhood also know that the location facing the park in the Mount Morris Park Historic District by West 121st is definitely one of the more notable addresses in the neighborhood and easily just a few blocks away from Whole Foods on Lenox. With that said, this is almost double the price of recent record closings in the neighborhood and so is worth watching in the coming months.
