The above video is an example of how the Municipal Arts Society has been trying to steer government officials into incorporating the preservations of New York's past alongside with community needs. Harlem really deserves to have it both ways and with some creative thinking and management, there is no reason why we should see anymore of our historic neighborhoods disappearing. Although the video is that of the Brooklyn Naval Yard, MAS has also made recommendations for Columbia's take-over of Manhattanvile.
