☞ REMEMBER: Madame Walker's Hair Ointment
We were always curious to see what products looked like during the early 20th century and found a photo of the actual tins that Madame C.J. Walker's hair growth ointment would come in. Notably in a bright yellow, the tin lid has a likeness of Madame Walker on the front and directions on the back. The active ingredient was copper sulphate, and the directions instructed that the ointment be used three times a week. Click on the photos to get a larger view on the packaging, ingredients and directions for Madame C.J. Walker's Wonderful Scalp Ointment (Double Strength).
