☞ EAT: The Kiosk
Another East Harlem secret spot is the Moroccan restaurant, The Kiosk. Charm is not lacking in this space with its large wall murals and North African pillows along with colorful textiles that adorn the interior throughout. We love Moroccan food for the savory Tagines, which are slow cooked casseroles of chicken, lamb or fish along with the kabobs, couscous and hummus dishes typical to the region. Weekly events include Brazilian Jazz nights along with belly dance performances. The Kiosk is located at 76-80 East 116th Street between Park and Madison. Tel. (212) 348-9010. Take the the 2,3 or 6 train to 116th Street. mnkiosk.com
