☞ READ: Halem Bike Doctor Moves to Brooklyn

The New York Times reports on the Halem Bike Doctor's reason for moving to Brooklyn. The shop has been a local fixture in the small, single-level garage building on the 124th Street, right off of Fifth Avenue, since Donald Childs' father opened it 35 years ago. With newer residents complaining about zoning rules in a residential area, the bike doctor is forced to pack up and go to Brooklyn. Read more about it in the NY Times article: LINK

  1. 35 years in residence and this is what happens? Sometimes I wonder at the losses that "progress" brings. Harlem's loss is Bklyn's gain. That seems to be the trend for the city nowadays.

  2. We loved this guy's story but the community board is taking too long to listen to his case and time is money. It's a great loss to see him go.
