☞ INTRODUCING: Tonnie's Minis
We saw that this store front on Lenox, between 124th and 123rd Street, was moving along quite quickly and the awning was already up early this week. Does anyone know what the shop will specialize in? Looks pretty good so far but for anyone opening a new store on Lenox, choose mint green or a bright turquoise for your awning since orange is representing so far! Most bright colors look great against the brown of brownstones but folks need to mix it up a little. Photo by Ulysses
The follow up is that it's a cupcake store that started in the West Village. We found a photo on Yelp that was published by Tonnie himself, but the shop in the photo seems a bit on the modern side in comparison to the interior that we saw being installed today at the Mount Morris Park location. The new Tonnie's Mini will have classic wainscot details and an all wood store facade that will be more in tune with its new, historic neighborhood. It also seems like orange was their original signature color. www.toniesminis.com
