Continuing this week's trend of shops re-opening with new names and management, we are glad to see that the beloved Morningside Bookshop has been replaced by Book Culture. The poor economy and back rent caused the former store to shutter its doors (this past summer) after being a part of Morningside Heights' mix of collegiate hangouts for the past five years. They were stocking the shelves last night but the door was open to let the curious in. Best of luck, for there apparently are second chances for a good old store space! Book Culture is on Broadway and the corner of 114th Street. The nearest train is the 1 train at 116th Street. Photo by Ulysses
