☞ EAT: The Savoy Bakery
East Harlem's main French bakery can be found close to Third Avenue, between 109th and 110th Streets. Fresh breads, croissants and pastries are baked on site everyday with an occasional variation such as the sweet red bean danish. The space is large enough to hang around in, so it's popular with visitors and locals alike. The Savoy Bakery is located on 170 East 110th Street, between 3rd Avenue and Lexington Avenue. Tel.(212) 828-8896. The closest subway is the 6 train at 110th Street. Photo by Ulysses. www.savoybakery.com
